What we collect when you ask for early access to Fossi, what we do with it, how long we keep it, and how to have it removed.

Who we are

Fossi is built and operated by Tessero. Wherever this page says "we", it means Tessero. You can reach us about anything on this page at info@tessero.network.

What we collect when you join the waitlist or request early access

Only what you type into the form, plus the time you sent it:

  • your email address, and your name if the form asks for it;
  • what kind of business you run, how many people would use Fossi, and what you would hand Fossi first, where the form asks;
  • any free text you choose to add, and any tools you tell us you would want connected.

What we use it for

We use it to decide whether and when to offer you early access, to write to you about that, and to understand what small businesses want from Fossi. We do not sell it, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to train AI models. Once you have an account, how we may review account data to improve Fossi is set out in our terms.

If you are invited, we may send you an invitation email. If you accept, the details you give when you create an account become account data, covered by the agreement for that account.

Notes we keep about you

The people running the beta may keep private notes about a prospective customer, for example what you asked for or how a conversation went. Those notes are about you, so they are personal data: on request we will send you everything we hold about you, notes included.

How long we keep it

Every record has an end date.

  • Waiting on the list: we keep your details while you are active. If 12 months pass with no activity, we send one email asking whether you are still interested. If we do not hear back within 30 days of that email being sent, we delete your details. Any reply or other activity before then restarts the 12 months.
  • Invited but not yet signed up: the invitation expires on the date it states. After that you return to the waiting list and the 12-month rule applies.
  • Signed up: we delete your waitlist details within 30 days of your account being set up. We keep a record with no personal details in it, saying only that a sign-up happened and when, so we can see how the beta is going. From then on your data is account data.
  • Declined, or you withdrew: we delete your details within 90 days.
  • You ask us to delete them: we delete them immediately, whatever state they are in, including the copy held for the website form.

The one thing we keep after a deletion

When your details are deleted because you asked, or because you were declined or withdrew, we keep a one-way fingerprint of your email address (a SHA-256 hash) and the date and reason. It contains no name and no readable address. We keep it so that we do not email you again by mistake and so that a deleted entry is not quietly re-added from the website form.

A fingerprint of an email address is not anonymous: anyone who already has your address could compute the same fingerprint and confirm it. We keep it for that reason only, and until you ask us to remove it. If you would like it removed too, write to us. If you sign up again yourself later, we treat that as a fresh request.

When your details are deleted because you did not reply to the 12-month email, we do not keep the fingerprint: you did not ask to be suppressed.

Who handles it for us

Your details are stored and your emails are sent using Amazon Web Services, on infrastructure we operate. We do not pass them to anyone else, except where the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop emailing you. Write to info@tessero.network from the address in question. We act on deletion requests immediately and answer other requests within 30 days. If you are in a place whose law gives you further rights over your data, those rights apply as well, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies and tracking

The sign-up forms do not set advertising or analytics cookies. The signed-in app uses only what it needs to keep you signed in.

Changes

If we change this page, the date at the top changes with it. We will not lengthen how long we keep your details without asking you first.
